The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experience Identity Operations Manager to join our Security and Identity Solutions Engineering team. This position is responsible for analyzing, implementing, and maintaining identity management processes while ensuring security compliance and maximizing operational efficiency. You will have a broad range of responsibilities that require knowledge across multiple domains of enterprise infrastructure focusing on Identity Access, Privileged Access Management, as well as Collaboration and Automation solutions. As the manager of this team, you will be accountable for the end-to-end operational support delivery for our end users, building and demonstrating a critical partnership with internal and external stakeholders, including University of Kansas Medical Center and Kansas University, for these shared platforms and services. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to manage a team of analysts responsible for providing world-class support to our customers. This role will require you to understand and apply a wide variety of concepts, practices, and procedures of enterprise operations, and you will need to lead a team to resolve a broad range of issues. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Lead a high-performing teams of 4-6 identity analysts that will support our customers and resolve critical and often complex technical issues across the environment.
- Lead the execution and optimization of identity lifecycle management processes, including onboarding, modifications, and offboarding
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of clinical projects according to established timelines and quality standards
- Analyze and resolve complex identity-related incidents and service requests
- Develop and maintain automation workflows to streamline identity operations
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for identity-related processes
- Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to track operational effectiveness
- Ensure identity operations align with security policies and compliance requirements
- Conduct regular access reviews and maintain audit documentation
- Participate in security assessments and audits
- Partner with our Security Operations team to monitor and report on identity-related security incidents and violations
- Interact with senior leadership and stakeholders to define business requirements and system goals, and to identify and resolve business system issues
- Build, lead, and cultivate a customer-centric, inclusive team environment that empowers identity analysts at all career levels to innovate, grow professionally, and champion customer needs while maintaining agility and positive team dynamics through collaborative leadership, targeted feedback, and proactive barrier removal.

Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree
- Master's Degree
Preferred Licensure and Certification
- Industry certifications (Such as Epic, CIMP, CIAM, Security+, or other related certification)
Knowledge Requirements
- Working-level knowledge of at least 2 of the cybersecurity domains: Security & Risk Management, Asset Security, Security Engineering, Communications & Network Security, Identity & Access Management, Security Assessment & Testing, Security Operations, Software Development Security
- Demonstrated experience working with a major identity governance platform (Okta, Sailpoint, PING)
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts
- Intimate understanding of Identity and access management, with at least 1 year of experience in a large enterprise environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills: must be able to effectively communicate with peer stakeholders across the organization and clearly set expectations for direct reports.
- Strong and progressive leadership skills, embracing the concepts of servant leadership and extreme ownership
- Functional understanding of internal, regulatory, and industry standards
- Proven track record of progressive advancement in the identity & access management field preferred
