Works to streamline education and training practices, continuously improve current state processes, and identify and champion leading Revenue Cycle automation opportunities. Responsible for driving adherence to education functions, including oversight of both Hospital and Professional Operations Quality & Training Specialists. Through leading-edge Revenue Cycle Operations Quality & Training Services this Assistant Lead elevates the quality of research, teaching, legal, planning and health care management purposes across the Enterprise. Additionally, provides leadership and oversight of the provider enrollment team across the Enterprise. This role will be hybrid, including both the expectation for on-site work on a weekly basis as well as telecommuting flexibility.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Implements the strategic direction for Operations Quality & Training and Provider Enrollment and collaborates with direct reports and functional leaders to drive alignment
- Communicates relevant changes in performance, market trends, health care delivery systems, and legislative initiatives impacting execution of team goals to team(s)
- Tracks relevant changes in performance, market trends, health care delivery systems, and legislative initiatives impacting execution of team goals
- Maximizes existing talent by providing counsel, leadership, guidance, and direction and assisting in the development of an organizational culture appropriate to support the TUKHS mission
- Adapts Operations Quality & Training and Provider Enrollment plans and priorities to address needs as identified by teams
- Analyze process performance to understand pain points and determine root cause
- Drives and oversees consistent operational policies, processes, tools, educational and assessment materials within all Training Functions
- Participates in the development of the Operational Budget for the Operations Quality & Training and Provider Enrollment teams
- Monitors and executes financial planning provided by leadership to support a cost-effective Operations Quality & Training Program
- Designs and oversees financial and operational performance of a system-wide Operations Quality & Training program dedicated to ensuring proper documentation, accurate billing, medical records creation and retention, and referral guidelines.
- Quantitatively and qualitatively analyzes team performance using metrics related to team Leadership and Revenue Cycle Performance Excellence operational success; translates performance analyses into performance improvement initiatives
- Establishes and oversee formal, comprehensive Operations Quality & Training programs and operational policies designed to improve operational consistency, efficiency, and data accuracy
- Oversees and supports provider enrollment team to ensure accurate and timely enrollment with participating Health Plans to secure the highest level of reimbursement
- Oversees and maintains a training curriculum to ensure revenue cycle professionals are educated on latest standards, regulations, and techniques in compliance with industry regulations
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a related field of study from an accredited college or university
- Designated Epic training must be completed within 6 months of hire.
- 6 or more years of experience in process improvement, quality and productivity analysis, compliance reporting, revenue cycle, or training
- 5 or more years of leadership experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- 7 or more years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations
- 6 or more years of leadership experience
Knowledge Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Solid operational management and process/technology optimization skills
- Excellent personnel management and organizational management skills – including written and oral communication, relationship management, customer service, and organization
- Sufficient quantitative and analytical skills to support decision making, perform cost-benefit analysis, and make reasonable future projections
- Prior management experience in Business Support Services-related functions
- Significant Reporting & Analytics prior experience / technical expertise
- Clear understanding of the impact Operations Excellence has on Rev. Cycle operations and financial performance of the facility
- Demonstrated skill in navigating successfully through ambiguity and frequent change – agile and flexible as a leader, peer, coach and team member
- Ability to create and manage respectful and impactful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience and passion towards mentoring and developing team members
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel between Health System locations with minimal to no notice.
