Position Summary / Career Interest:
M - F 7am - 3:30pm The Perioperative and Procedural Supply Chain Inventory Point of Care Associate, under the direction of the Perioperative, Procedural and/or Logistics Supply Chain Manager, is responsible for ensuring that the Perioperative and Procedural departments have access to the right inventory at the right time in the right location and in the right quantity while providing efficient customer-focused service.
M - F 7am - 3:30pm The Perioperative and Procedural Supply Chain Inventory Point of Care Associate, under the direction of the Perioperative, Procedural and/or Logistics Supply Chain Manager, is responsible for ensuring that the Perioperative and Procedural departments have access to the right inventory at the right time in the right location and in the right quantity while providing efficient customer-focused service.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for receiving and reconciling inbound inventory against delivery tickets
- Responsible for notating and communicating inventory integrity issues, incorrect orders, short shelf-life, etc. on any inbound inventory being received
- Facilitates and executes upon stocking inventory PAR locations with product while following FIFO methodology (first in, first out)
- Actively works on replenishing PAR locations with both inventory being returned from end-users and/or from overstock locations
- Monitors and tags short-date inventory in PAR locations per Standard Work
- Follows 5S protocols established within PAR locations by removing overstock, organization, wiping and cleaning down shelving, and additional 5S standards as specifically noted
- Participates in daily huddles with team members and acts as a contributing team member with new ideas and positive, constructive feedback to improve process flow
- Responsible for efficiently answering and responding to customer’s needs and requests via phone call, Voalte paging, or traditional pager methods
- Keep the area where the work takes place (Gemba) clean, clutter free and organized daily
- Responsible for daily pulling of case cart and add-on/urgent case cart builds for the Operating Rooms
- Responsible for monitoring and stocking additional inventory locations (outside of PAR locations) which effectively results in product being available at the Point of Use for customers
- Facilitates the inventory order pull for supplies in the Operating Room cores
- Performs the manual order for the Operating Room cores, as applicable
- Facilitates the inventory pull of tissue and completion of associated Standard Work, upon customer request for the Operating Rooms
- Comply with AORN and Joint Commission standard on handling of equipment and supplies in sterile environments
- Comply with the FDA and Joint Commission standards on handling and managing tissue inventory
- Maintain quality and integrity of product, always
- Meet individual productivity and accuracy levels and contribute to the overall departmental productivity goals (as established by your Manager)
- Participates, annually, in the fiscal year-end inventory in addition to the preparation process of organization and inventory level review based upon established PAR levels
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager and/or other members of the Perioperative and/or Procedural Supply Chain leadership team.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or GED.
- 1 or more years of experience in the Healthcare industry or inventory control.
Knowledge Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office processing and Windows.
